At the beginning of July, Amelia joined Two Stories for a week of work experience. As an art student, Amelia is interested in pursuing a career in design, so our studio seemed like the perfect place for her to spend a week soaking up as much knowledge as possible.
To round up Amelia’s time at Two Stories, we asked her some quick-fire questions. 3, 2, 1… go!
What did you enjoy most about your time at Two Stories?
I loved working with the incredible team! Everyone is so fun, talented, and creative. I also enjoyed being involved in client meetings.
What did you dislike most?
Having my photo taken.
What have you learnt?
I gained a great insight into the industry and learnt about the process of creating design work through shadowing different members of the team.
What is the most “Two Stories” thing you learnt about being at Two Stories?
The teamwork in the office stood out to me, and the care and attention put into each project.
If you described Two Stories as a person, what would you say?
Fun and relaxed, but hard-working.
Here’s a bit more about what Amelia said to describe her time as part of the Two Stories team:
I had the privilege of joining Two Stories for a week of work experience, which I found very enjoyable. The team was friendly, professional, and great to work with. I was made to feel welcome as soon as I arrived.
During my time at Two Stories, I gained an insight into the digital creative industry and the importance of design and communications in the creation and recreation of brands. I worked with the team on interesting and exciting projects for a wide variety of clients from a range of sectors.
The team kept me busy; I sat in on several client meetings, researched previous Two Stories’ projects, and spent time shadowing the digital design process. I particularly enjoyed the client meetings as it taught me the level of detail and care that goes into each brand or website project. Over the week, I also learnt about the process of a rebrand and the positive impact that it can have on a business.
My time at Two Stories has provided me with a deeper understanding of the realities of the industry that I hope to be a part of in the future. Thank you so much to everyone at Two Stories for making my work experience so fun and valuable.
