Lauren joined the Two Stories team almost a year ago and has played a pivotal role ever since. She’s passionate in web design, enthusiastic about the design industry, and always tackles projects with exciting ideas and a fresh approach.

How long have you been working at Two Stories and what did you do before you started here?
I’ve been working at Two Stories since April 2021, so around 10 months. Before joining Two Stories, I studied Design at Lancaster University.
What is your role and what does it involve?
As a designer, my role normally involves working on anything from entire branding projects to designing social assets, presentations, and documents, to ensure consistency and recognition across brands at all touchpoints.
Which two things do you enjoy the most about your role?
I enjoy being able to work on new things all the time. As a designer within an agency, I have the freedom to work on a large variety of projects (so it never gets boring!) and I also have the opportunity to constantly learn new techniques, which is a big part of why I love being a designer. You constantly evolve and grow!
Name somebody in the creative world who inspires you!
There are two photographers I love at the moment – Rob Bremner and Tony Davis – who are both documentary photographers that captured the lives of people in the 1980s and 1990s.
Where do you find your creative inspiration?
I find inspiration pretty much everywhere, from books to the internet, to even just walking around and seeing patterns, colours, and imagery that I like in everyday life.
What do you enjoy most about the creative process?
I love starting with a blank page and seeing how all my ideas come together. At the end, the page might look a mess, but to me it visualises the different paths that have come together to form the final design.
What are your two favourite things about working at Two Stories?
The team, definitely! We have the most random conversations in the office. I also always feel like a genuinely valued and important member of the team.
What are your two most memorable moments from your time at Two Stories so far?
We recently worked with a private equity firm to create a brand for their events using data to create patterns. This has definitely been my favourite project so far; I loved experimenting with the gradient colours and creating different swirls and lines for each bit of data.
I also really enjoyed creating the brand for Market Garden Pro – a platform that assists with the smooth planning, selling, and distribution of crops. I love the idea behind the business, so it was fun to create a brand to reflect that. I combined aspects of sustainability and technology to form the final design, and I learnt so much through the process of creating the brand from start to finish!
