How long have you been working at Two Stories and what did you do before you started here?

I’ve been at Two Stories for a little over a year, and I absolutely love it! My background is a total mix of both creative and project management roles across the fashion, interiors, and event worlds so my role here is a perfect collab of everything I’ve done to date. I’ve always loved working in a studio environment and as part of a solid team!

What is your role and what does it involve?

From managing the studio schedules, chatting to clients, and ensuring we stay on track with campaigns and brand projects to organising the team parties and keeping the plants watered – my role is a bit of everything and as cheesy as it sounds, no two days are ever the same!

Which two things do you enjoy the most about your role?

The team are absolutely fab – it’s one of the kindest but funniest places I’ve ever worked. It’s nice to see us create next-level work every day, and have a laugh whilst we do it!

Who is your favourite designer?

Tricky one – I honestly love design in all forms. I’d say fashion-wise, it would have to be queen Viv – an absolute icon and Hussein Chalayan. House of Hackney for interiors, Mike Perry for illustration and Gregory Crewdson for photography – unreal!

Where do you find your creative inspiration?

It’s a classic but nature has got to be my number one – I’m obsessed with colour and texture so I can’t think of a better inspiration source. I love photography too which features a lot in my own work, so I am constantly taking pics of anything and everything and I really try to find beauty in the mundane.

What do you think is the key to a successful creative process?

Teamwork and time to experiment! I think collaboration is key so being able to bounce ideas off other creatives and time to fully explore an idea I think really helps to make something special and achieve success.

What are your two most memorable moments from your time at Two Stories so far?

It’s been full of exciting projects since I started, however I’d say seeing the first full brand process from workshop to launch for GoShorty is a stand-out highlight for me – they loved it and it’s one we’re super proud of! The second one (or ten) is the team lunches – it said on the job ad that Two Stories are a bunch of foodies and they were not wrong!

Thanks for keeping the Two Stories ship sailing smoothly Emma! It’s been a fantastic year having you on board.
